Our founding promises
Online does not mean alone. The planned model pairs asynchronous coursework with live labs, small-group tutoring, and teacher office hours.
The academy is being designed around Oregon standards, ODE virtual-school requirements, transparent governance, and TSPC-licensed educators.
Managed student devices and eligible connectivity support are part of the plan so geography is not a barrier to rigorous coursework.
The learning model
Students move through standards-aligned work at a purposeful pace, while teachers provide the instruction, feedback, and intervention that turn independent learning into academic progress.
Complete rigorous core lessons on a flexible schedule, then connect in required synchronous labs, focused tutoring sessions, and open teacher hours. Progress is based on demonstrated learning—not simply time spent online.

Public education
Cascade Virtual Academy is planned as a nonprofit Oregon virtual public charter school. Eligible enrolled students would attend tuition-free, subject to charter authorization, enrollment capacity, residency, and applicable state requirements.
